    Day 0 (Whitening Day)

    Sensitivity

    • Tooth sensitivity is the most common side effect and is temporary
    • Use sensitivity toothpaste (apply directly to sensitive teeth if needed)
    • Avoid very hot or cold foods and drinks for 24-48 hours

    Stain Prevention (48-Hour Window)

    • Your teeth are more porous and susceptible to staining right now
    • Avoid: coffee, tea, red wine, cola, berries, tomato sauce, soy sauce
    • Avoid: tobacco in any form
    • Eat "white" foods: chicken, rice, pasta, white fish, bananas
    Day 1-3

    Maintaining Results

    • Continue avoiding staining foods/drinks for 48 hours
    • Sensitivity should resolve within 1-3 days
    • Brush gently with a soft brush
    • Results can last 6-12 months with good habits

    When to call your provider or 911

    • •Severe pain that doesn't respond to sensitivity toothpaste
    • •Gum burns, blistering, or white patches on gums
    • •Sensitivity that worsens after 3 days
