    Day 0 (Adjustment Day)

    After the Adjustment

    • Your bite may feel different; this is the new, correct position
    • Mild sensitivity for 1-2 days is normal
    • If sensitivity persists beyond 3-5 days, call for reevaluation
    Day 1-2

    Monitoring

    • Brush and floss normally; no restrictions
    • Your jaw muscles may feel slightly fatigued as they adapt
    • Note any areas that feel high when biting down
    • Follow up if bite doesn't feel natural within a week

    When to call your provider or 911

    • •Severe pain when biting after the adjustment
    • •Tooth becomes very sensitive to hot or cold that worsens
    • •Jaw pain or clicking that wasn't present before the adjustment

    When in doubt, call your clinic. For a medical emergency, call 911.
