What is Synagis used for?
- Prevention of RSV lower respiratory tract disease in premature infants 35 weeks gestational age or younger.
- Prevention of RSV disease in pediatric patients with bronchopulmonary dysplasia requiring medical treatment.
- Prevention of RSV disease in pediatric patients with hemodynamically significant congenital heart disease.

Palivizumab warnings & precautions
- Risk of anaphylaxis and severe hypersensitivity reactions; permanently discontinue if anaphylaxis occurs.
- Monitor for acute hypersensitivity reactions with each dose.
